TAYBEH, WEST BANK — Israeli settlers attacked the Christian village of Taybeh overnight, burning cars, throwing stones at homes, and writing threatening graffiti on walls.
Local residents said the attack happened suddenly, with settlers setting vehicles on fire in the streets and spraying red graffiti in Hebrew on buildings. Photos from the scene show at least two cars completely destroyed by flames. Villagers say the graffiti included death threats.
Taybeh is one of the last remaining Christian-majority villages in the occupied West Bank. Families there were forced to stay inside their homes as settlers reportedly moved through the area, damaging property and spreading fear.
No one was injured, but the attack has shocked the community. Many Christian leaders and human rights groups have condemned the violence, calling it part of a larger trend of settler attacks in the region.
So far, the Israeli army has not released a statement about the incident.
