​In the aftermath of the Pahalgam massacre, where 26 civilians were killed, Indian security forces have demolished the homes of two men suspected of involvement in the attack. The demolitions occurred in Murran village of Pulwama and Bijbehara area, both located in southern Kashmir. Authorities allege that the suspects, identified as Ahsan Ul Haq Sheikh and Adil Hussain Thokar, are members of The Resistance Front (TRF), an offshoot of the Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).

Family members of the suspects were detained for questioning. Yasmeena, sister of Ahsan Ul Haq Sheikh, recounted that soldiers cordoned off their home late at night and subsequently demolished it using explosives. She stated that no one was inside the house during the demolition.

Police have released wanted posters featuring sketches of three suspects: Adil Hussain Thokar, and two Pakistani nationals identified as Ali Bhai and Hashim Musa. A bounty of two million rupees (approximately $23,500) has been announced for information leading to each man’s arrest.

The demolitions are part of a broader crackdown following the attack, which has intensified tensions between India and Pakistan. India has accused Pakistan of supporting the militants involved, an allegation that Pakistan denies

This incident marks one of the deadliest attacks on civilians in the region in nearly two decades, prompting widespread condemnation and a heightened security response. ​
