French President Emmanuel Macron announced that France is in discussions with Britain and Ukraine regarding the possibility of deploying troops to support Ukraine in its ongoing conflict with Russia. The initiative aims to establish a strategic presence by partner countries in Ukraine. Macron highlighted coordinated efforts between the military leadership of the three countries, indicating progress in their deliberations. He emphasized the importance of having troops on the ground in Ukraine.
In addition, major European powers, including France, have endorsed an unconditional 30-day ceasefire in Ukraine, an initiative also supported by U.S. President Donald Trump. Macron recently visited Kyiv along with the leaders of Britain, Germany, and Poland, during which they collectively engaged in a phone conversation with President Trump to discuss the situation.
