The Head of Bahrain’s official Hajj Mission, Shaikh Adnan bin Abdullah Al Qattan, conducted a comprehensive inspection tour in Mecca to review the readiness of the mission’s operational committees ahead of the Hajj pilgrimage season.

Shaikh Al Qattan met with committee leaders overseeing logistics, healthcare, administration, religious guidance, and emergency services, emphasizing Bahrain’s commitment to ensuring the safety, comfort, and spiritual enrichment of its pilgrims. The inspection comes as part of Bahrain’s broader preparations to provide seamless support throughout the pilgrimage experience.

The visit focused on evaluating the capacity and preparedness of various services, including accommodation arrangements in Mecca and the Holy Sites, medical teams and emergency protocols, and communication channels between officials and pilgrims. Each unit presented progress reports and outlined their operational plans for the Hajj period.

Praising the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its immense efforts and world-class organization of the pilgrimage, Shaikh Al Qattan underscored the vital role of continued coordination between the two countries. He stressed that Bahrain’s mission is fully aligned with Saudi directives to uphold the sanctity and order of the annual pilgrimage.

Among the measures in place are:

Deployment of specialized medical teams with equipment and mobile health units

Emergency response teams with clear evacuation and support protocols

Orientation sessions for pilgrims on safety, hygiene, and Hajj rituals

A 24/7 communications system for direct contact between pilgrims and mission staff

Implementation of digital tools for tracking, registration, and support

Shaikh Al Qattan called upon all mission members to carry out their responsibilities with diligence, sincerity, and compassion. “Serving the pilgrims is not merely a logistical responsibility but a moral and spiritual duty. We must meet this sacred obligation with the utmost dedication,” he said.

The Bahrain Hajj Mission has intensified training programs for volunteers and officials in areas such as first aid, cultural awareness, and crowd management. Additionally, the mission is distributing health and safety guidance materials to all registered pilgrims.

With Hajj expected to host one of the largest global gatherings this year, Bahrain has taken further precautions to prepare for high volumes and potential risks. Health officials reminded pilgrims to stay hydrated, avoid heat exhaustion, and promptly report any symptoms of illness.

The Mecca visit also included reviews of accommodations in Mina, Arafat, and Muzdalifah, ensuring compliance with comfort and safety standards. Mission officials checked infrastructure quality, sanitation provisions, and pilgrim support logistics in preparation for the critical stages of Hajj.

Shaikh Al Qattan reiterated Bahrain’s full readiness to serve its pilgrims and emphasized the ongoing monitoring of services throughout the pilgrimage. He thanked all committee members and support teams for their hard work and commitment.

The Kingdom’s leadership has placed significant importance on ensuring that pilgrims from Bahrain can perform their religious duties with peace of mind and full support. The mission’s leadership reaffirmed that they will remain present on the ground throughout the pilgrimage, addressing any emerging needs and providing swift solutions.

As the final phase of preparations continues, Bahrain’s Hajj Mission remains confident in delivering a smooth, secure, and spiritually rewarding experience for all its pilgrims during this year’s sacred journey.
